While covering chapter three in our textbooks, i decided that i'd give mock "Awards" for the kids' renditions of the characters in the conversation. Due to having an odd number of students, i had to play a part. i decided to ham it up!
After 30 years of teaching, 12 + of them at my current school... TODAY i got my first, one and only standing ovation!!!! i was "awarded" best actress, the student with me: best supporting actress. One very creative student gave me Best Foreign Production. Huge point for him!
The best part? At dismissal, more than one student was overheard to say to the adult picking them up... "I had so much fun today!"
That's all the reward i need. :)
